What is a Vanilla Paloma?
A Paloma is a popular cocktail originating in Mexico and is enjoyed worldwide. It is typically made with tequila as the base spirit and grapefruit soda as the main mixer. The word “Paloma” translates to “dove” in Spanish. This vanilla Paloma is the Singing Dog Vanilla take on the classic cocktail. Instead of the traditional 1:1 simple syrup, we used our signature organic vanilla syrup to add a subtle sweetness to this refreshing cocktail.
What Tequila is the Best?
When selecting the best tequila for a Paloma, opting for a blanco or reposado tequila is often recommended. The bright, clean flavors of a blanco tequila work wonderfully in highlighting the citrus and grapefruit notes of the cocktail. If you prefer a slightly more nuanced and aged profile, a reposado tequila can add depth and complexity to your Paloma. Ultimately, the choice depends on your personal preference and desired flavor profile.
